1. Chat GPT
Chat GPT is an AI assistant chatbot powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4 language model that can help you to write different kinds of content, summarize lengthy documents, translate languages, and a whole lot more. There are several ways you can use it. I’ll give you a few quick examples. To initiate its chat function, you could click its icon here on the right or you could use its keyboard shortcut which is the Control key plus Q to open it. Then type your question or message into the box. Went on the web page for any article to save time and summarize it, right click anywhere, have your cursor over Chat GPT, and select summary content. You can use it to better understand words or phrases you’re not familiar with by highlighting them, then right click, go to Chat GPT, and select explain.

This might come in handy for those occasions that you don’t have the time or patience to sit through a video. Also, selecting let’s chat here at the bottom allows you to ask questions here in the Box about content within that video.

Quillbot is one that I mentioned recently in our useful website series. In addition to going to their website, it also has a Chrome extension that helps to edit, rewrite, and change the tone of your writing to improve clarity and become a more efficient writer. If you’ve ever used Grammarly, it does share some similarities. Anywhere you write on the web, be it social media, email, Google Docs, etc., it will check for grammar and spelling errors and also help to paraphrase what you’ve written. Any issues will be underlined in red. The word Checker is spelled incorrectly; you just need to click to fix it. In addition, below it’ll show you the number of issues found. Clicking on the number, you can fix all the issues at one time.
4. Chat Sonic
Chat Sonic is like most extensions utilizing Chat GPT with one major exception. Instead of being limited to 2021 information, it integrates with Google search to create content with the latest information. Chat Sonic is specialized in the writing of a blog or social media post and emails. I’m going to write an email to ask Elon Musk to hire me as the new CEO at Excorp. To begin, click on the Chat Sonic icon. You can change the tone if you want. I’ll leave it on professional. Then click on write. Then when it’s done, just update the information, for example here your name and anything else that needs updating.

Wise One is a new AI-powered tool more focused on enhancing your experience when reading and browsing online to help improve productivity and expand your knowledge. There’s a couple ways to use it. After doing a search on Google or Bing, you’ll see the Wise One box to the right of the search results. To get a short explanation based on your query, click on tell me more. This will show you simplified information along with citable sources you can click on for more details. Also, when reading an article, clicking the Wise One icon here on the right gives you the option to summarize that article. This will give you the key takeaways here at the top with summary below. Ask anything, as it says, will let you ask a question and explore will give you additional sources based on that same topic.

Scribe helps to save time when creating step-by-step guides. It captures text and screenshots.
7. Liner
Liner is a popular online highlighting tool that has recently added Chat GPT to its Chrome extension. Its co-pilot assistant lets you ask questions and get answers from any web articles, PDFs, and YouTube videos.
8. Fireflies
Fireflies can be used on various web conference platforms like Google Meet and Zoom to record, transcribe, and summarize meetings. Its built-in assistant, which they call Ask Fred, powered by GPT-4, goes beyond the meeting to summarize articles, emails, and documents.
